  4. DB Lock is a shareware tool for database application developers.  It
  5. works best with Visual Basic 3.0 and 4.0, and Microsoft Access.  It can read
  6. databases created in MS Access versions 1.0, 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0.

  10. - See how your application behaves in different locking situations in network
  11.   use 
  12. - See the usage and lock status of the tables in a database
  13. - Lock any table manually 
  14. - Lock a record (a page) in a table manually
  15. - Determine if a table is left open after it has been used in your
  16.   application

  18. What is needed to run the program: 
  19. It is recommended that you have Visual Basic 3.0 or 4.0 installed on your
  20. system.

  22. Versions:
  23. =========
  24. The program comes in 2 versions: One for VB 3.0 and one for VB 4.0.  The
  25. version you have is described in CONTENTS.TXT.

  27. Notes on the VB 3.0 version:
  28. - The program can read new Access version 2.0/3.0 databases only if you
  29. have the correct drivers (the Compatibility Layer) installed on your
  30. system.  This is available for free from Microsoft.  Otherwise it can
  31. only read Access 1.0 and 1.1 databases.

  33. Notes on the VB 4.0 version:
  34. - The program is compiled under the 16-bit Professional Version of VB. 
  35. The 32-bit version is not supported, but if you have the 16-bit DLL's,
  36. you can run this program anyway.
